What’s in That Monthly Mortgage Payment?

A mortgage calculator can be a great way to help you get a rough idea of what your monthly mortgage loan payment is likely to be. However, these calculators may not always be terribly accurate, since other items may not be included.

Some of the other things that go into a monthly mortgage loan payment, besides the payments on principal and interest, include such things as taxes and mortgage insurance. Your home insurance may also be included your monthly mortgage loan payment.

Before you sign on the dotted line, make sure that you understand what all will be added into the monthly mortgage payment. That way you won’t be surprised when you find you need to pay for these things along with your mortgage loan payment.
