Closing: The Final Frontier of the Home Mortgage Loan

    Marquit_house_2

Finally! The home mortgage loan process is over and I am a homeowner. Well, sort of. We signed all of the mortgage closing papers (40 solid minutes of signing page after page after page), and they took our check for the down payment. It was a cashier’s check, considered "safer" in terms of funding. But, the builder hasn’t actually been paid yet, thanks to the holiday weekend. Happily, we were allowed to move in over the weekend anyway, so I am in "my" new home, happily unpacking. I am told that most builders/sellers won’t let you move in until the funding comes through. So points for Horizons Construction here in Logan, UT for being so helpful.

Congratulations! I'm really amazed the builder did let you move in. Exciting times for you! :)
