When you decide to buy a home, it is important to remember that personal finance is a big part of that. You need to have your personal finance house in order if you want to be able to qualify for a home mortgage, and you need to know how mortgage payments will fit into that. As I start the New Year in a new home, I have been thinking of my personal finance priorities and what I want for the coming year. Here are my personal finance goals for 2008:

*Set more money aside in my retirement account.

*Save up money to put in a yard and a fence.

*Keep out of debt.
