    Bush Economic Plan Leaves Out Housing Initiative

    On Friday, President Bush revealed his economic plan for preventing recession. However, many, especially the National Association of Realtors, were disappointed with the lack of housing initiative. Inman News reports on the apparent lack of concern for a housing initiative:

    Although the president today renewed his
    calls for Congress to pass legislation modernizing Federal Housing
    Administration loan guarantee programs, he announced no new initiatives
    specifically targeted at reviving housing markets or mortgage lending.
