Your Credit Score and Getting a Home Mortgage

One of the most important aspects of your financial wellbeing is your credit score. And your credit score is especially important in getting a home mortgage. Your mortgage lender will use your credit score to decide whether to give you a home mortgage, and then use it to determine what interest rate and other terms you will be offered.

Before applying for a home mortgage, it is a good idea to check your credit report and score, and take three to six months to improve your credit score if it is less than desirable.
