Habitat for Humanity: Homes for Those in Poverty

    Header_logo

One of the problems plaguing those in poverty is homelessness. I thought that, on a blog devoted to mortgage loan information and tips on buying a home, it is only appropriate to address poverty and homelessness on Blog Action Day.

So today I’d like to draw attention to Habitat for Humanity. This is a great organization that helps build homes around the world for those living in poverty. Chances are, you can find a local Habitat for Humanity organization. The charity helps people help themselves (those living in the homes help build them) by getting them into affordable housing.

One of the keys to overcoming poverty is having a sheltered, stable place to call home. Habitat for Humanity helps provide that. And if you donate your money or your time to Habitat, you can help fight poverty, too.
